Connecticut State Flags - Outdoor and Indoor

The Connecticut state flag has a white baroque shield with three grapevines, with 3 bunches of grapes on an azure blue field. The three bunches of grapes represent the three oldest settlements Windsor, Wethersfield, and Hartford. A banner below the shield reads Connecticut's state motto “Qui Transtulit Sustinet", He who transplanted still sustains. The Connecticut General Assembly approved the flag in 1897 after it was introduced by Governor Owen Vincent Coffin in 1895.
